About Us
Our Story
When Peter and Sandra von Hopffgarten moved to Nashville from England in 1989, they had a vision for Pool & Spa Depot. They wanted to provide the best customer service, quality brand names, selection of swimming pools, spas and other recreational products.
Pool & Spa Depot was founded in 1995 by Peter, Sandra, and Benno von Hopffgarten (Peter’s father). The original location was a storefront on Antioch Pike in Nashville. After only three years in business, Pool & Spa Depot was recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in the recreation industry.
In 2002, Pool & Spa Depot expanded by opening a pool retail store in Cookeville, TN. The next expansion came shortly after in 2004 when the Bowling Green, KY retail store was opened.
In September of 2012, Pool & Spa Depot relocated to it’s new location in Brentwood which showcases Tennessee’s best selection of inground and above ground pools, spas, saunas, patio furniture and hardscape options. In the spring of 2015, a brand new state-of-the-art facility in Clarksville was opened.
During the beginning of 2017, Pool & Spa Depot’s headquarters was established. The headquarter encompasses Pool & Spa Depot’s business offices, construction department, service department, and main warehouses. The success of Pool & Spa Depot has come through hard work, long hours, and recruiting the best and most experienced personnel in the Middle Tennessee area.
