Pool Fencing from Pool and Spa Depot

Gunite Pools Brentwood TN

What about a fence? Great question! Most municipalities require the construction of a fence anytime a pool is installed. The Association of Pool and Spa Professionals recommend that pool owners use “layers of protection” to ensure that any swimming or poolside experience is completely safe, and recommend a minimum four-foot-high barrier that completely surrounds the pool.

A variety of fencing materials is available from basic safety fencing to decorative wood, iron, aluminum, or vinyl and your Pool and Spa Depot designer can help you decide what will best fit into your budget and complement your poolscape.

What’s Involved In Building a Gunite Swimming Pool?

Before ground is broken, a Pool and Spa Depot designer works with you to determine if the pool you want is the best option for your terrain. This is done with a store visit in- person or it’s done on-site at your location. We offer a free design at the store, and we can do a 3D design for a small fee. Once the pool is designed, we will detail the whole project out and price out your favorite options to take off or add.

An install agreement will be signed, and a deposit will be secured. Now, you’re officially on the construction schedule. Once the plans are good to go, the area is marked out to ensure that no underground pipes are hit during construction. Dimensions and grading are then double-checked, and then the excavation is dug out. Next, plumbing is installed, and a pressure test is performed.

A separate team custom-installs the rebar grid, which runs along the floor and walls of the pool. Next, gunite is applied pneumatically. Benches and any other nooks are hand-sculpted before the pool cures. Your electrician is responsible for all the electrical work. Next it’s time for back-filling,  your decking and coping is installed, tile or other visual features are added, and the final interior pool finish is applied.

Pool and Spa Depot professionals will teach you how to operate and maintain your pool in our signature Pool School. After everything is complete, we clean and grade the yard to ensure that any construction debris is removed, and your yard is ready for summer.

Now, it’s time to enjoy your new pool!
